How this works
Most roofing calculators ask you to guess your roof size. Some use building footprint data, which ignores roof pitch entirely - a steep roof has up to 40% more surface area than the footprint suggests.
Our scanner derives roof geometry from stereoscopic aerial photography and LiDAR data - the same technique used by professional solar installers when they design $25,000 panel systems. Each individual roof plane is measured with its own pitch and azimuth, so the square footage we show is the actual material area you’ll need.
Imagery captured by aerial survey flights and refreshed periodically. Not a binding quote - real contractor pricing will vary based on roof condition, material, and current market conditions.
