This privacy policy explains what information HomeQuoteHQ collects from visitors, how that information is used, and the choices you have about how it is handled.

Information we collect

When you submit a quote request form on HomeQuoteHQ, we collect the information you provide directly: your name, email address, phone number, ZIP code, and details about your roofing project including project type, home type, and timeline. We also automatically capture the page you were on when you submitted the form, the IP address the submission came from, and the browser user-agent string. This information is stored in our database.

When you browse the site, we collect basic technical information that most websites collect: pages viewed, time of access, browser type, and approximate geographic location based on IP address. We do not require accounts and do not collect information beyond what is needed to provide the service.

How we use it

Quote request information is shared with up to four vetted roofing contractors in your area so they can prepare quotes for your project. These contractors are independent businesses, not employees of HomeQuoteHQ. We share your information with them only when you submit a quote request form, and we share only the information needed for them to prepare a quote.

We use site analytics to understand which pages are most useful, fix broken links, and improve the content. We do not sell user data to advertisers, data brokers, or other third parties beyond the contractors you have requested quotes from.

Cookies and tracking

The site uses basic cookies and similar technologies to remember preferences and to support analytics. We do not use third-party advertising cookies that follow you across the web. If your browser is configured to reject cookies, the site will continue to work, though some convenience features may not function.

Data retention

We retain quote request submissions for the period needed to support contractor follow-up and any related correspondence, typically up to 24 months. After that period the information is deleted or anonymized in our records. Aggregate analytics data is retained longer.

Your choices

If you would like a copy of the information we have collected about you, or if you would like us to delete it, email hello@homequotehq.com from the address you used to submit the form, and we will respond within 30 days. If you are a resident of California, Virginia, Colorado, Connecticut, or another US state with a comprehensive consumer privacy law, you have specific rights under that law regarding access, deletion, correction, and opt-out of sale. Children

HomeQuoteHQ is intended for adult homeowners and does not knowingly collect information from children under 16. If you believe a child has submitted information through our forms, contact us at the email above and we will delete it.

Changes to this policy

If we make material changes to this policy we will update the date at the top and, where appropriate, notify users through a notice on the site. Continued use of the site after a change indicates acceptance of the updated policy.
